Las Vegas -- The History Channel has struck gold,
thanks to Sin City's own 100 year old Gold
& Silver Pawn Shop. One of Cable TV's top shows is none other
than Pawn Stars,
the reality series that follows the daily antics of the Harrison family
as they run their local pawn business. The series has become not only
the top rated show on the revamped History
Channel, but a top 5 favorite in overall national cable
ratings... The Greenspun media family
is launching an alternative to traditional local TV news show its
creators
say is savvy, hip and fun, using elements drawn from the Web to provide
coverage of entertainment, sports and news. The show, known as 702.tv,
is launching on a twice-weekly schedule, airing at 10:30 p.m. Tuesdays
and
Thursdays on Vegas TV, Cox
Communications cable Channel 14. The program, whose
title is also its Web address, will go to five days a week in the
fall.The
Greenspun media family includes the Las
Vegas Sun and Las Vegas Weekly.
But the
show isn't the Sun newspaper or the Weekly magazine in video form.
"What if
there were a local newscast that wasn't about the latest accident on
the 215 or
the latest house fire?"said Rob Curley, president and editor of
Greenspun
Interactive. What if it were fun and informative? That's 702.tv. The
Daily Show, the Travel Channel, the Food Network and E! were to try to
do a
daily local show in Las Vegas,
this is what it might look like,"Curley said. The show will feature
stories
about interesting places to eat and air interviews with local artists
and the

also will emphasize coverage of UNLV
sports and of Ultimate Fighting
Championship bouts
and fighters... HD launches in Sin
City! VegasHD has created a full-scale,
mobile,
High-Definition television production facility based in Las Vegas, NV. VegasHD
has secured long-term agreements to build permanent HD
broadcast studios in key
locations, allowing for television crews to shoot in the most
picturesque
locations in Las Vegas and deliver the signal anywhere in the world via
the city's first digital fiber network. VegasHD will make its production
facilities
available to national and international production companies, network
television

reality TV from Vegas, Laguna Beach producers Go Go Luckey Productions teamed with
Ryan Seacrest Productions
and E! television for Paradise City,
a weekly half hour series following the real life drama of aspiring
stars in Sin City. Shot on location, the show will reveal the city's
casinos, nightclubs, restaurants and private homes of the 20-somethings
trying to make it in Hollywood East... Diva
TV invades Las Vegas! Bay areamedia and music diva Keldamuzik,
has recently taken her popular music show to sin city. She has recently
broadcast from several music events in town, including SlyKat's recent Miami Meets Vegas
showcase on Fremont street.Fans of Diva TVare growing, thanks to edited down
versions of her show, known as "webisodes" which are becoming popular
